Training
for the practically minded
Vehicle fitter EFZ
As a vehicle fitter, you will work with various materials, with a focus on metal. Using plans, you will build the basic structure of a vehicle, assemble parts, install the loading areas and equip the vehicle with the necessary accessories. The hydraulics and electrics of a vehicle are also part of the job of a vehicle fitter.
A completed apprenticeship offers many opportunities for development and further training in technical professions.

Metal construction practitioner EBA
Are you a team player and enjoy working with metal and machines of all kinds? Then the two-year apprenticeship as a metal construction technician is just right for you! During this time, you will be trained in our workshops and attend various inter-company courses for six weeks.
Metal construction trainees weld on vehicles, assemble equipment, carry out simple tasks independently in the workshop and on assembly sites and help out in the company. They work with materials such as steel, aluminum and glass. They use hand tools, equipment and computer-controlled machines to produce various components. Metal construction trainees assemble these using various techniques. You will learn how to bend, punch, drill and weld.

Shortened training as an EFZ metalworker Anyone who completes their apprenticeship as a metal construction technician can then enter the second year of basic training as an EFZ metal construction technician. After completing this apprenticeship, the same further training opportunities apply as for the EFZ metalworker.

What you can expect when you try it out:

- Vehicle construction for general cargo logistics
- Vehicle construction for refrigerated logistics

- Chassis pre-assembly
- Welding shop
- Repair
- General cargo logistics
- Assistance in setting up a truck, trailer or semi-trailer for our customers such as Sonnenbräu, Stürm SFS etc.
- Place the loading bridge on the truck chassis and screw it in place
- Cutting and screwing wooden/plank flooring to size
- Wiring and installation of a lifting platform
- Assembly work on various components such as soft top frame, side shutters, wheel chocks, material boxes, etc.
- Cooling logistics
- Assistance in setting up a truck, trailer or semi-trailer for our customers such as Migros and Coop
- Place the refrigerated box on the trailer chassis and screw it in place
- Interior fittings for refrigerated cases (drilling, screwing, riveting)
- Installation of a roller shutter with pneumatic control
- Assembly of various components such as side doors, partition walls, lifting platforms and much more.
- Military logistics
- Assistance with the construction of a trailer or truck for the Swiss Armed Forces
- Assembly of various components such as spare wheel holders, material boxes
- Chassis pre-assembly
- Support with the pre-assembly of trailers and semi-trailers
- Assembling a chassis using bolts and screws
- Mounting the axles and wheels
- Installing the pneumatics for the brake system
- Wiring of the lighting
- Welding shop
- Assistance with the welding of a loading bridge
- The trial apprentice is also allowed to weld (test pieces)
- Machining steel with a drill and angle grinder
