As a vehicle fitter, you will work with various materials, with a focus on metal. Using plans, you will build the basic structure of a vehicle, assemble parts, install the loading areas and equip the vehicle with the necessary accessories. The hydraulics and electrics of a vehicle are also part of the job of a vehicle fitter.
A completed apprenticeship offers many opportunities for development and further training in technical professions.

Are you a team player and enjoy working with metal and machines of all kinds? Then the two-year apprenticeship as a metal construction technician is just right for you! During this time, you will be trained in our workshops and attend various inter-company courses for six weeks.
Metal construction trainees weld on vehicles, assemble equipment, carry out simple tasks independently in the workshop and on assembly sites and help out in the company. They work with materials such as steel, aluminum and glass. They use hand tools, equipment and computer-controlled machines to produce various components. Metal construction trainees assemble these using various techniques. You will learn how to bend, punch, drill and weld.

Shortened training as an EFZ metalworker Anyone who completes their apprenticeship as a metal construction technician can then enter the second year of basic training as an EFZ metal construction technician. After completing this apprenticeship, the same further training opportunities apply as for the EFZ metalworker.
