This year, as part of the Young Tec Fun program and in collaboration with SchuWi Rheintal, we were once again delighted to welcome a curious class of students from Widnau to our facility. The students gained exciting insights into the world of technology and had the chance to experience our operations up close. The focus was on one thing above all else: trying things out for themselves instead of just watching. In our welding shop, the experience was both hands-on and creative. The children got to weld their own flower, spray-paint a picture, and gain their first experiences with manual work. A special highlight was also the truck ride—an experience that was a real highlight of the day for many. Through initiatives like this, we aim to inspire young people early on to pursue technical careers and show them how diverse and exciting working in industry can be. Together with SchuWi Rheintal, we help bridge the gap between school and the professional world and create opportunities for the future. Your future starts here

Four axles, well-thought-out details, and impressive maneuverability: this jumbo flatbed trailer demonstrates what modern vehicle construction can achieve.
When standard solutions reach their limits, customized concepts are required. This was precisely the situation when Baumet AG approached us. They were looking for a flatbed trailer that combined high payload capacity, flexible application options, and precise handling.
The result is a 4-axle jumbo flatbed trailer. From the outset, it was clear that this vehicle should not only transport goods, but also make everyday work noticeably easier, whether when maneuvering in tight spaces, loading and unloading, or performing a variety of transport tasks.
A key element of the project is the electro-hydraulic steering system for the third and fourth axles. It enables exceptional maneuverability and can be conveniently controlled by remote control. Great importance was also attached to flexibility in the design. The Multifix crossbeam system with integrated stanchion housings allows for different configurations, while container locks and numerous lashing and securing points ensure that a wide variety of goods can be secured safely during transport. This is complemented by a variable end wall position and forklift protection, which offers additional safety during handling.
This project demonstrates what modern vehicle construction looks like: it is a well-thought-out overall concept that is consistently geared toward real-world requirements. For Baumet AG, the new 4-axle vehicle means greater flexibility, increased safety, and a noticeable improvement in everyday usability.
