A day full of curiosity and a spirit of discovery: The Future Day at GK Grünenfelder
On National Future Day, five children were able to take a look behind the scenes and experience just how varied and creative technical professions can be.
On November 13, 2025, we welcomed five curious children to the National Future Day at GK Grünenfelder. This day offers schoolchildren the opportunity to get to know different professions and working environments and to encourage them to pursue their own interests and decide on a professional future regardless of role models.
An exciting daily program
After a welcome round and a brief introduction to our company, the practical part began: the children were given an insight into our production, learned about processes and were able to try out the first steps themselves.
Some highlights of the day:
- Tour of the production halls
- Creative work at an airbrush station
- Crafting and welding your own metal flower
- Practical experience in real work processes
- And to round off the tour: getting into a real truck, including a short tour of the site.
During the day, the children were accompanied by employees who explained their work, answered questions and at the same time passed on their enthusiasm for their profession.
Why Future Day is important to us
We want to show young people that technology is creative, mobility can be exciting and that every talent counts, regardless of gender. We are delighted that we were once again able to make a contribution this year to getting young people interested in technical professions - and perhaps even to spark their interest in a later apprenticeship or career at GK.
