Last week, GK Grünenfelder AG welcomed a curious and motivated school class to the company. The visit took place as part of the "Young Tec Fun" program in collaboration with SchuWi and offered the pupils exciting insights into the world of technology and industry.
Roland Gassmann and Monika Betschart, who are responsible for apprentice training at GK Grünenfelder AG , personally took the time to show the young people around the company. Not only did they explain the various areas of work, but they also conveyed with great commitment what it means to learn and practice a technical profession.
Of course, it wasn't just theory: the students were allowed to get hands-on and gain their first experience in welding, screwing and assembly. Equipped with safety goggles and gloves, they immersed themselves in the practice - a highlight for many, which triggered visible enthusiasm.
The aim of Young Tec Fun is to bring schools and local companies together and give young people a practical insight into technical professions. Such visits not only arouse interest in manual and industrial professions, but also build a bridge between school and work - all in the spirit of a strong future for the Rhine Valley region.
We would like to thank the school class for their visit and look forward to welcoming one or two of them as apprentices in a few years' time!
